What do you do at your job?
You might think working in financial technology is kind of boring. old-style office with no fun at work. Then Ajaib might change your mind! Who knew that there was a place to work in the financial industry that opened their town hall with some great music like BTS?
Here in Ajaib, I’m the one who is responsible for making the work environment fun and engaging for our employees. So, if we have so much fun at work, why don't we tell the world about it? That’s my job, the one who will share their happiness working in Ajaib through social media. I work for Ajaib People's Happiness!
What's your background?
I'm an advertising communication graduate. I really love crafting something creative and unique. So, creating mood boards and conceptualizing creative campaigns has always been my thing. If you said, "I'm a Pinterest girl," I would say yes!
As a recent graduate, I really want to grow as a person and have a supportive environment. A place where I can be true to myself and have limitless opportunities. and definitely, the job that I love. The job that embodied the creative side of me. Here, I am starting my journey as an employer branding associate.
Could someone with a different background do your job?
One day, I asked my interviewer, "I don't have any human resources background. Are you OK with that? " And they answered me, "You are here to learn, and if you never try, you never know." We are here also still learning, so don't worry about that. " That's really opened my eyes, because one of my fears about pivoting my career from a graphic designer was that I did not have any internship experience besides being a graphic designer. But Ajaib let me explore the side that I never knew as employer branding. Employer branding is part of the human resources team, so it's actually a very new world for me.
So, the answer to the question is absolutely yes! Show your spark, your will to win, and your growth mindset, and let them see the best part of you. Then, if you are a great fit, they will give you an opportunity to make a positive impact on yourself and the team through this position.
What's the coolest thing about your job?
The coolest thing about my job is that I can play my favorite music on Office Townhall because I'm the DJ! If you join Ajaib and hear BTS and some RnB music in the town hall, that must be me who played the music.
What is the minus of your job?
It's impossible to do a social media detox if you work in this position. This position requires you to do a lot of research about social media trends and monitor them in order to create a relatable communication campaign for our audience, both internal and external.
What suggestions you would like to give yourself?
I still have a lot of room for growth, and here at Ajaib, I found something that I've been looking for: an endless opportunity to learn. Always remember that a mistake is another opportunity for you to be a better person. One last thing, I hope I can decrease my daily consumption of coffee!
