EY Strategy and Transactions helps clients to work more efficiently and effectively, ensuring their long-term health by raising, preserving, investing and optimizing capital. As an EY transaction professional, you will be able to work with the world’s largest organizations, fastest-growing companies, and private equity firms on some of the biggest and most complex cross-border engagements in the global market. You will help those clients to make a better and more informed decision about how they strategically manage capital and transactions in a changing world. That means advising businesses on how they preserve, optimize, raise and invest their capital to help them achieve their strategic objectives.

Requirements

• Minimum university degree majoring in Accounting, Finance, Business, Management, Economics, Computer Science, and Engineering from reputable overseas and local universities, with a minimum GPA of 3.00 or Credit/Distinction grades (for SC).
• 1 - 2 years of experience, preferably with the Big-4 Firms, Audit, Corporate Finance, Management Consulting,  and/or Investment House. (Fresh graduates with outstanding internship experience are welcome to apply.
• Professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM, CPA, CA, and CMA would be highly regarded.
• Fluency in English is mandatory both verbal and written.
• Possessed strong analytical and structured thinking, exposure to teamwork as well as client-facing project, and demonstrate good commercial thinking and business acumen.
• Having the ease to work effectively under pressure and to meet established goals and objectives within the specified deadline, while maintaining quality at all times.
• Have excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with people at all levels professionally.

Brief Description of Role

Some of the key responsibilities would include:

• Help clients to achieve their strategic goals, whether they are acquiring or divesting assets, by participating in one of our services (i.e. Financial Due Diligence, Valuation & Business Modelling, Lead Advisory, Restructuring and Operational Transaction Services).
• Working directly with the senior management teams for both buyers and sellers.
• Analyze financial and operational results of targets company through reviewing accounting records and conducting interviews with management.
• Prepare and evaluate pro forma financial information to assess trends and fluctuations that may impact cash flow requirements and deal valuation
• Identify issues for purchase price reductions, deal structuring or deal termination
• Correlate financial due diligence findings with client valuations and price negotiations
• Perform industry and company research utilizing online tools and publicly available information
• Assist in researching technical accounting issues to evaluate implications on transaction valuation and structuring
• Assist in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and other parties
• Work with other EY service teams to deliver an integrated service to our clients. 
• Likely to also work on a number of cross border assignments working with other EY offices around the world
