Application Process & Interviews at Zenius

After I applied my CV and cover letter to the HR, I got an interview with the HR. The HR Officer was really nice and she explained to me about the company really well. She then gave me a test which was making a storyboard from a short length script they provided. I was given a day to finish my test which was enough time. I sent my storyboard, then the next day I got contacted by the same HR Officer for an interview with my to-be supervisor. I remember at the time I couldn't do an interview for the time she asked me to. And then we needed to rearrange the interview to another day.

I'd say my interview process and assessments were unique. They're probably different from the newer members. Hence, I don't think my experience would reflect others. This is because when I enter the team as a content writer, the team was EMPTY. Haha. So what happened was the team was just being established. My campus friend and I were the first members of the content writers team. We were interviewed by the head of Content Hygiene and SEO. No assessments were given. We then entered the company as interns. One week later, a full-time content writer entered our team. After four months, my campus friend decided to focus on her thesis and therefor did not continue the prolonged internship program. I continued the program. I was offered to be a full-time content writer. Of course I gladly accepted the offer. Thus, I then became a full-time content writer after five months internship.

The recruitment process went quite fast. The recruitment mechanism is clear

The interview from HR is basic. The process relies heavily on user interview and assessments. The assessments are based on the founders' vision of the company so they can recruit those who share the same values.

The recruitment process are faster than expected. On the first assessments, I made a video about unusual topic, and answered basic logical questions. On the second assessment, I answered subject problems. On third assessment, I did microteaching. And last were user interview and HR interview.

I actually applied as Content Writer, and in that day I also got approached by the recruiter and offer me to apply as Scriptwriter because I have some portfolios, I said yes. And then I was interviewed by HR, then I wrote script as my assignment, then I was interviewed by the user, then I'm hired! I don't know but I think the process what I've been experienced were simple than other company.

I was asked if I was willing to work beyond my own capabilities, asked to describe myself, and I believe I was asked to tell my interviewer about what I knew of the company.

I was asked regarding: - my background studies - my skills and qualification - fields of interest - three figures I'd like to meet - where do I see myself in five years - whether I know SEO That's all I can remember, unfortunately.

I was asked a question about own skills, knowledge about company, and personality.

During the user interview, I was asked to microteaching. Then asked about the subjects I chose. During the HR interview, I was asked about my busy schedule, motivation to join and some experiences

My experience, my skill, i think it's standard questions for interview.

Just be yourself and calm your nerves.

You should be ready to learn new things fast and be excited for them. Moreover, you should be proactive. You're going to be working for an edutech startup which evolves quickly. Hence, it would be great to completely open your mind and actually be interested what Zenius is trying to achieve.

Prepare your skills and believe in yourself.

Just be prepared, study and learn about the company more.

Learn the founders' vision, sharpen your critical thinking skill, and prepare to do demonstration on the role you are applying.

Prepare the simple CV that related to job they're applied. And well prepare for interview.

Hm I think what we want to say about have to say has to as a clear as possible, so the interviewer could understand and have no difficulties to understand us.
